My Reflection About Technology and Livelihood Education
I am Jamie Nathalie C. Ladi, a pupil from Grade 6-Cassiopeia and an avid learner of the TLE subject.
To be honest, whenever I am hearing the phrase "technology and livelihood education", all I can imagine are the hard works or activities that we—me and my classmates —might face along the way, but now, the longer I study the TLE, the happier I become.
One of my most favorite fact about TLE is that it is not just for school and educational purposes but for how are we going to live a relevant and significant life nowadays.
I actually, remember our project or activity in this subject last first quarter. We are asked to plant an "okra" and eggplant and with that activity, I've realized that the plants also needed some particular things or object in order to survive —like water and sunlight. I also learned how to be patient ,because gardening isn't an easy task. Thank God, the "okra" grew a bit though the eggplant didn't.
The second quarter came and it taught me how to manage bills. I admit that I don't really giving too much care about our monthly bills but because of our project I became more aware of the things happening around and within our home.
The third quarter of TLE is what I enjoyed the most, because of the cross stitching. I grew up watching my mom and grandmom while doing their own kind of masterpiece using a needle and a thread and learning and doing the whole process of it is a very nice experience. And also, I got worried when our teacher— Ma'am Jao—asked us to create or assemble our own extension cord because it is dealing with electricity and I admit that it's kinda scary because of the hazards it contains but the triumph that me and my group mates felt the moment we finished it is priceless.
Now, we are down to the last quarter and I wanna say that this may not be the quarter that we are assigned to do some heavy and hard works but this is the heartfelt one because doing this reflection made me realize and contemplate the things I did within the past months of studying this subject .
I really enjoyed this subject, all in all Thanks to Ma'am Jao's hardwork and to my classmates jolliness, I didn't just learn concepts or topics, I also learned how to be responsible and how to socialize.
Again, I am Jamie Nathalie and I'm sending too much love to Technology and Livelihood Education where I've learned that not all difficult works are difficult because some of it are becoming easy with the friends you got while doing it.
